Whāriki - Te Mātātahi
On the 26th of May, Me and Ryan participated in Te Mātātahi – The next generation and to help them in answering one of their questions which was - how do we create an environment for sustainable entrepreneurial pathways for Rangatahi Māori?.
I was no entrepreneur but they made me feel comfortable and they opened the space as if I was one, that was something I found cool about them. I also took part in their activities and presented what connections/networking means to me and how I would show others what that is. We made this cool stick guy with heaps of skewers connected to a foam ball and what the skewer represented was the connection, the foam ball represented the people, company and business its connected to. I did that alongside another peer who also attended this Kaupapa.
I also shared my experience with the economy of mana to their boss and all I said was the economy of mana is a new way of looking at the current economy. Also that the economy of mana is more about people over money rather then money over people and what economy of mana meant to me which is the sharing of power or strength.
