HIKOI WITH PHIL WIHONGI

On June the 13th we met up with Phil Wihongi. We started the day off with whanaungatanga by introducing ourselves, what we do for work, where we work and after we done this Phill asked us what is design to you. I said design to me is like a bunch of lines, shapes and colours coming together to form an art of creativity.  

Along our journey we stopped by 2 architecture firms. The first one was Toa, they greeted us and showed us around the place, shared a bit about their journey and the transition from Uni to the job. They even offered us cookies and they were so nice.

Then we made our way to one more firm called Jasmax. We meet everyone there, they offered us hot chocolate and it was so good. They showed us some of the projects they work on and one of them made a whare designed hospital, it was really beautiful and just so good. Their designs for their projects were amazing. We then got to play around with their VR set up but unfortunately it wasn’t working but over all it was an amazing work environment.
