Practice Foundations – August 2025

Whānau Prosperity: Economic Levers for Change

How can we make the most of economic levers to support whānau and community wellbeing?

In this wānanga, Missy Armstrong (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Hau, Ngāti Kaharau, Ngāti Tahu - Ngāti Whaoa) - Buyer Manager at Amotai - helped us explore the links between cultural, social and economic outcomes.

In conversation with The Lab’s Kaitohu Tangata Whenua, Angie Tangaere (Ngāti Porou, Pākehā), Missy highlighted practical, real-world examples of how Māori and Pasifika businesses are creating impact. Together we looked at how to better spot these opportunities in our own mahi and use them to unlock prosperity on the ground.
