Te Whakariterite: Preparing Ourselves for the Journey

This session focuses on Te Whakariterite, a foundational phase of Hautū Waka.

Hautū Waka is an Indigenous navigational methodology, grounded in mātauranga Māori, which we had the privilege of learning from renowned tohunga and kaumātua Rereata Makiha. Over the past five years, it has been a pivotal part of The Lab’s mahi supporting public sector teams to tackle complex challenges.

In this session, we share what Te Whakariterite looks like in practice - what it helps teams to do, and the tools and practices that support us to prepare to work together in complex change.
